Job Purpose
- Provide advanced analytics capabilities to the team around the channels and systems in scope include paid and social media, websites and personalisation, audience segmentation and management, experimentation and analytics, 1st party customer and visitor data management, and attribution and marketing mix model collaboration
- Support Digital Marketing and Program Management Lead as a key influencer and leader across the organisation, regularly interacting with CEP Global Marketing leadership team, Pharma Tech, GPMO and Regional commercial operation teams to set the vision and requirements needed to support new capabilities
- Continuously to identity industry leading data analytics opportunities and provide key requirements into Pharma Tech around the data and systems required for an optimal omni-channel marketing, optimisation, and customer experience (content personalisation)
Responsibilities
- Oversees complex data analysis with multiple data sets (internal and external to GSK databases/systems) to inform senior leadership decision making and action
- Responsible for setting up unified source of truth, dashboards that drive optimisation of campaigns
- Assesses digital marketing data and systems and identifies risks and opportunities to enhance capability development
- Identifies inefficiencies in data-to-decision processes across digital analytics, personalisation, business intelligence, and experimentation domains and recommends solutions to improve
- Partner with Technology and Data stakeholders to evaluate data environments and develop roadmaps to close gaps
- Determine priorities of the digital marketing data ecosystem within the data systems & architecture
- Ensure data is readily available to support metrics and models; promote cohesive and integrated decision-making with the department
- Identify data required to build and enhance customer profiles and customer behavioral models. This may include licensing 2nd and 3rd party digital data
- Ensures data usage meets privacy policies and industry compliance and regulatory requirements, e.g. strong understanding of GDPR
- Adheres to governance rigor of existing data mart processes, procedures, controls, standards, tools and templates (as required)
Requirements
The job holder needs to be a self-driven and organised individual with strong data analytics skills in order to deliver the value of data analytics
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantitative field e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics
- 3 to 5 years of experience in advanced and predictive data analytics and modelling
- Ability to extract large volumes of multifaceted data using SQL with experience of the common data management system
- Demonstrable programming ability in different languages (R and Python are essential)
- Advanced Excel skills required (e.g. VBA) – can demonstrate efficient application of mathematical concepts and programming to improve efficiency of modelling and reporting
- Experience of analytic and BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, and similar applications
- Predictive and prescriptive analytics and ability to innovate the current ways of working by pushing the boundaries
- Demonstrable experience with interchange data and other data / data platform preferred
- Courageous to explore & connect external world data sets with the internal world to deliver meaningful insights without fear of failure
- Analytics experience in applying statistical solutions to solving business problems is desirable
- Hands on experience in processing extremely large data sets
- Self-driven, high curiosity to learn and resolve problem with innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking, and also have “Why and Why-not” mindset
- Skills and ability to uncover insights through data analytics, identity errors or unexpected trends
- Good network with the external data-community to understand the trend and continuously challenge the internal by outside in thinking
- Detailed oriented, expected to ensure highest level of quality / rigor in reports & data analysis
- Team oriented, resilient, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible style, with the ability to tailor data driven results to different stakeholders
- Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal guidance, and efficiently designing, implementing, and documenting own processes to ensure high quality work
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Good knowledge in Microsoft operating systems and programs including Office 365, One Drive, Teams
- Good knowledge of project management to ensure successful project delivery
