As a driven and expert Statistician Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will contribute to the development of our innovative and market-leading clinical development product suite that helps our customers to design, model, and simulate complex innovative clinical trials with the potential to create significant value for sponsors and patients by increasing their probability of success and accelerating time to market.
A key feature of such software products is our proprietary engines software components that implement sophisticated and advanced statistical/mathematical algorithms (e.
g.
simulations of complex adaptive trials) for our cloud-hosted and on-premise software products.
You will be responsible for studying cutting edge statistical methods in leading statistical research publications, designing algorithm specifications for implementing such methods in our engines, guiding developers and testers on implementation and testing of the engines, and performing hands-on testing of such engines yourself.
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Discuss and analyze software requirements with Product Managers, other SMEs, and Software Engineers.
Acquire necessary cross-functional knowledge of Software Engineering concepts and processes in order to provide required statistical support in the software requirements analysis process.
Study statistical research papers and other publications.
Design and document sufficiently detailed algorithm specifications for complex statistical/mathematical methods that Software Engineers can implement and test.
Help developers and testers understand these algorithms well and guide the development of the engines.
Guide the testers on developing test strategies and test cases for the engines.
