The Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team leads the industry in breadth and depth of Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) and Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) knowledge. Role & Responsibilities

Under broad guidance, the Statistician 1 provides day to day statistical expertise to the project team to achieve client expectations through the development, implementation, and delivery of statistical analysis services.

As a Statistician 1 within the PCS team at IQVIA, technical responsibilities include:

  • Participates in statistical analysis projects or workstreams and directly contribute to achievement of project deliverables.
  • Provides statistical support for the development of statistical analysis plans, including support with development of table shells.
  • Under supervision, performs statistical analysis, including SAS programming to create statistical outputs (e.g., tables, listings, figures) for projects with moderate scope.
  • Assists with the interpretation of results.
  • Assists with the development of statistical reports, technical reports, study reports presentations.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Works on projects where independent judgment is used within generally defined procedures and practices.
  • Supports proposal writing and business development activities.
  • Maintains proficiency of skills and knowledge and remain current with industry trends based current literature, application of new technology, attendance at professional meetings, etc.

About You

Candidates interested in joining our Patient Centered Solutions team as a Statistician 1 should have:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Basic knowledge of statistical methods that apply to Phase I-IV clinical trials (descriptive analyses, multivariate analysis, regression analysis, logistic analysis, survival analysis, etc.)
  • Strong computer skills, including Statistical programs (e.g. SAS, SPSS or R) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills
  • Excellent attention and accuracy with details.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with and effectively present information to internal team.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong individual initiative.
  • Strong organizing skills.
  • Strong commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work within a matrix team environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree or educational equivalent in biostatistics, psychometrics, applied statistics, mathematics, epidemiology or related field; Bachelor’s degree or educational equivalent in in biostatistics, psychometrics, applied statistics, mathematics, epidemiology or related field and 1 year relevant work experience.
  • Experience with programming in SAS and/or R, SPSS and familiarity with implementation of statistical design and analytic methodology.
