Team Description
The ML Capabilities team builds models and libraries that other data science teams use as features or ingredients in their modeling.
We partner with the Strikers team, a flexible team of data scientists providing expertise where there are no data scientists or providing surge capacity for existing data science teams.
We also partner with AI Training Team, which provides high-fidelity human-labeled data for training, testing, and monitoring models.
Role Description
In this role, you will:
Lead part of the ML Capabilities team to deliver models and services used by data scientists in their modeling work.
Balance people leadership with technical individual contributions, leading from within GitHub.
Build causal inference, machine learning, and statistical models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
Leverage a broad stack of technologies Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more to reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data.
Flex your interpersonal skills to translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals.
The Ideal Candidate is:
Statistically-minded.
Youve built models, validated them, and backtested them.
You know how to interpret a confusion matrix or a ROC curve.
