Job Summary:-
Under general direction, is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and analysis of various databases surrounding research protocols.
This role will also provide administrative support and participate in patient care related activities as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Develops and maintains study specific databases.
Organizes the dissemination and exchange of data; prepares data for analysis and assists with manuscript preparation.
Designs, implements and oversees and also performs data entry, creation of forms, verification procedures, and tracking systems for longitudinal patient follow-up and/or research projects.
Ensures integrity of data and corrects inconsistencies.
Cleans and manipulates databases to prepare for statistical analyses using software languages (e.
g.
SAS, R).
Participates in data analysis and basic statistical analysis of datasets for various projects and research protocols.
Designs reports and data dashboards and utilizes data for analyses of weekly and monthly performance/status reports.
Participates in the collection, organization, storage, and submission of program data.
Provides administrative support including the facilitation of all interactions with institutional research committees and offices, research subjects, physicians and PhD researchers at WCMC and collaborating institutions, and sponsoring/funding entities.
As needed, screens calls, answers general inquiries, and routes calls as appropriate or takes a message.
Escalate difficult/complex issues.
Participates in patient care operations by assisting with patient appointments, registration, insurance pre-certifications, and other patient care related activities.
Sets project management timelines and manages stakeholder expectations, proactively resolving conflict to successfully meet project timelines and deliverables.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Experience
Approximately 2 years of prior relevant experience working with and manipulating data.
Working knowledge of statistical analysis software (i.
e.
SPSS, SAS) required.
Ability to program databases and query using advanced functions in spreadsheets and databases such as Excel, Access, and FileMaker and to present data in clear and presentable format required.
