This role is currently performed under a shared service model outsourced to TECH M which is being brought back in house in order to save operational cost.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.

These responsibilities include some of the following.

Performs Oracle application database administration functions for GA&D and perform application support functions for assigned applications.

The Oracle DBA will be responsible for servicing tickets (incident,Problem & Change) for several applications across the GA&D landscape with responsibility for the following activities.

Task/Scenario
Schema or Data refreshes
Reason for assistance
Sync the data in multiple environments, either as part of some deployments or in order to investigate any particular issue.

Task/Scenario
Unlock a Schema/Kill a Schema Session.

Reason for assistance
DB schema gets frozen due to some rogue script.

Task/Scenario
Real Time Assistance (Migration).

Reason for assistance
DB migration or major DB upgrade.

Task/Scenario
Real Time Assistance (Changes).

Reason for assistance
DB failures as a result of any change deployments in either of the environments.

Task/Scenario
SQL Optimization/consultancy.

Reason for assistance
Few applications uses complex SQL logic wherein application team may approach APP DBA services.
