About the Role

In this role, you’ll be a key leader within the Cartography team where you’ll spend your time mining insights from the sea of data, building data products, and designing experiments – with the ability to see the real-time impact of your contribution.

With a talented troop of Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Map Operation experts, you’ll develop and deploy data science solutions to improve our mapping products that our users can rely on and enjoy.

What You Will Do
Work with Data Scientists, Product Engineers, and Product Managers to build, deploy, and scale Data Science solutions for point of interests generation, and location search and ranking to improve our customer and product experience
Work with Product teams to continuously refine and improve the solutions to cater to ever-changing Gojek needs
Leverage Statistical Models and Machine Learning to identify and fix data inconsistencies of our locations and points of interest with the current landscape
Dive deep into analysis to identify data quality and coverage issues and support business decisions by our Product and Operations teamsWhat You Will Need
At least 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer, with experience in Python, Golang/Java, Unix, and SQL
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operation Research, or a similar quantitative field
Solid knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning fundamentals, with proven experience in formulating Data Science solutions for business problems
Proven ability to recognize business needs and to communicate with multiple stakeholders of varying seniorities within the Product Management, Business, and Operations streams
Experience in taking Data Science models to production
Prior experience (research or industry) in the geospatial and mapping domain is a plusAbout the Team
Our Cartography team, based in Singapore and Jakarta, is a platform team that surfaces mapping technologies needed by all internal product teams and business units within Gojek.
