About the Role
If you’re looking to be a part of a dynamic, data-driven team and an opportunity to leverage your analytical skills at scale, look no further. Data Analyst (Risk Research) is an exciting new function within the Gojek Risk Analytics team. You will be working within a team of talented risk analysts to solve risk challenges such as fraud, abuse, physical safety and sabotage to make Gojek a safe and trusted platform. In particular, in collaboration with Risk Strategy and Risk Data Science teams, you will perform experiments, exploratory studies, data reviews, and work on new techniques for proactive risk detection and recommend solutions for their mitigation in a super app ecosystem.

What You Will Do

      • Ask bold questions and test hypothesis regarding existence and prevalence of new risk, fraudulent and unsafe behaviors in the platform
      • Act as a subject matter expert in understanding the variety and prevalence of user behaviors
      • Design experiments, exploratory studies, and use advanced analytics to test key hypothesis about existence of risks, be a thought partner for statistically sound experimentation at Gojek Risk
      • Own and run the agenda for developing new insights and influence risk solution roadmaps owned by Risk Strategy, Risk Engineering Platform and Risk Data Science
      • Develop innovative analytical techniques and data science frameworks to detect abnormal behavior patterns by analyzing large datasets of user behavior and transactions
      • Work with other members of Risk Analytics team to mine a large pool data to label bad actors and behaviors for modeling or analytics purposes

What You Will Need

    • Higher education degree in quantitative disciplines or computer science
    • Minimum 3-4 years of work experience in analytical, problem-solving roles within a fast paced environment (prior experience in risk management is preferred)
    • In-depth knowledge of concepts related to experiment design, A/B testing, statistics, hypothesis testing, user behavior research, on-line experiments
    • Adept at managing and using for analysis both structured & unstructured data, incl, sentiment analysis, network analysis, text mining, GPS signal analysis
    • Expertise in using tools and languages such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, Python/R, SQL
    • Exposure to cloud environments like GCP or AWS
    • Excellent written & verbal English communication skills to effectively collaborate and exchange information across stakeholders of various backgrounds and levels
    • Knowledge of handling analytics for a digital platform, such as digital payment, ride-hailing, food delivery or e-commerce will be a plus, but is not a prerequisite
