Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist business stakeholders across all levels in the definition of project scope and objectives.
  • Invest time in fully understanding business processes and departmental/organizational goals.
  • Gather and document business requirements.
  • Ask challenging questions around business value and return-on-investment imperatives.
  • Work with the EDA team to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Develop project charters and effective project plans along with documenting data sources.
  • Develop rough dashboard prototype, including preliminary mapping of data sources and relationships to ensure alignment with the project sponsor.
  • Coordinate internal resources, EDA team, and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Negotiate with the stakeholders to prevent scope creep.
  • Successfully maintain the relationship with the client, all stakeholders, the EDA team including third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including report outs to management on project status.
  • Identify project risks and issues with passion.
  • Act as a data steward, investing in understanding data sources and key data integration points.
  • Identify source data quality issues and suggest improvements.
  • Take responsibility for the overall success of assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with functional business owners, end users, the EDA team to determine needs and develop solutions for Qlik to maintain in line with Global Policy.
  • Participate in new development, ongoing support and testing to ensure that the systems functionality meets the business community’s needs.
  • The person should work closely with Business partners, Business Analysts, EDA team or other IT teams to understand the requirements and should provide an effective solution through a design which could cover both configuration work and enhancements.
  • Develop application as required by the users (Dashboards, SharePoint, etc.) for Business systems in line with BorgWarner Landscape and provide support for the same.
  • The person should prepare a technical functional documentation for solutions and work closely with EDA team or other IT teams to test & deliver the solution.
  • Update and maintain user guides, manuals and other related materials, and share knowledge amongst the IT team on implemented solutions.
  • Exercise high level of system expertise in Qlik & SAP and the person should be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • The person should have good communication skills to interact with all levels of internal customers.

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience working with Data Analytics and Visualization Tools (like Qlik Sense, QlikView, Tableau)
  • SQL and Data Modeling expertize
  • ETL skills (extract, transform, load), knowledge of Alteryx highly desirable
  • Agile Project Management skills critical, experience on analytics projects is strongly desired
  • PMP certification required, working knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Critical thinking and ability to drive conclusions based on data findings
