Job Summary:-
Piper Companies is looking for a VP of Data Science for a leading financial lender located in Bethesda, MD.

This role can be remote (East Coast preferred) with occasional travel.

Responsibilities for the VP of Data Science:
Develop and own the Data Governance Framework across a 4,000 person organization
Drive the adoption of Data Governance practices/program throughout various business units
Coach business leaders in the understanding of Data Governance processes
Qualifications for the VP of Data Science:
10+ years of experience in Data Analytics
Experience designing/supporting data science strategy
Deep knowledge of Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Deep Learning (DL)
Experience with AWS/Azure
Thorough understanding of data pipelines, data models, data organization
Adept at building machine learning and AI models
Mathematics, probability, statistics expertise
Experience in financial services, mortgage, lending – ideal
Compensation/Benefits for the VP of Data Science:
$180,000 – $190,000
Restricted Stock Units
Comprehensive benefit package; Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO
Local candidates preferred – remote possible if willing to travel occasionally (Maryland, Philadelphia)
