Want to use your experience with financial services compliance and data science? Are you a hardcore numbers person with a Financial Services Compliance background who would enjoy solving some of business’ toughest challenges by illuminating phenomena and opportunity held within one of the world’s largest data sets? As a Data Scientist at Walmart, the mammoth scale and volume of our global data is virtually limitless.

You will create insights that influence how we make decisions that have impact at an unprecedented scale.

You’ll be leveraging data science methods, including AI and machine learning in an incredibly dynamic and engaging environment.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if:
You have prior experience executing compliance program tuning and configuration methodologies, including what-if detection scenario analytics, excess over threshold, and sampling above/below-the-line (ATL/BTL) testing in order to validate that the transaction monitoring models are effective and functioning as expected
You have strong knowledge about model risk management and associated regulatory requirements
You are current with compliance rules and regulations of the FRB, SEC, OCC, FATF, FinCEN, OFAC, and familiarity with USA PATRIOT Act, BSA/AML and OFAC screening regulations.

You have experience designing, analyzing, testing and/or validating BSA/AML models, and/or OFAC sanctions screening models.

You are familiar with implementing, testing or evaluating performance of financial crime and compliance systems.

Proven track record of strong quantitative testing and statistical analysis techniques as it pertains to BSA/AML models, including name similarity matching, classification accuracy testing, unsupervised/supervised machine learning, neural networks, fuzzy logic matching, decision trees, etc.
