The Application Portfolio Management (APM) team manages the Citys large application portfolio and monitors the associated costs of maintaining existing operations.
The APM team is responsible for ensuring all City applications are current with the latest business functionality and modern architecture.
To accomplish this the team reviews and assesses the most recent application releases, ensures resources are available to manage applications throughout their life cycle, ensures that the right mix of applications can be maintained within the application portfolio to meet business needs, and anticipates changes when they occur.
This position will support APM initiatives and the four pillars of Enterprise Software Portfolio Management of Strategy, Governance, Lifecycle and Release Planning, and Modernization through continuous analysis, planning, and implementation.
Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Participate in small modernization (removing legacy software) projects.
Analyze, design, and maintain information systems; assist senior analysts and consult with management and users to determine the needs of the system.
