Job detailsJob TypeFull-timeFull Job DescriptionThe Supervisor, Healthcare Coordination of Benefits (COB) Data Mining overseas a team of analysts responsible for objectively and accurately completing conducting audit review and analysis on assigned client inventory, while maintaining high quality work output and successfully meeting productivity and recovery goals.
The team identifies trends and makes determinations based subject matter expertise and strong analytical while leveraging audit tools and resources available, as well as communicates and supports the identification of additional data mining opportunities and participates in development of ideas, as necessary.
The Supervisor responsibility includes:Supervises day-to-day activity, provides training, and guidance to team of analystsDevelops and maintains training materials, workflow documents, and tools; and contributes to overall COB data mining infrastructure.
Communicates with team regarding goals, metrics, and operational requirements.
Assigns work and monitors staff productivity and work qualityEnsures team achieves assigned revenue goals and assigned metricsAdvises leadership of individual or team performance or quality gaps, staff issues, and other observation and areas that may require action to address.
Collaborates with HR and leadership to address individual performance, quality, behavioral, enforcement of company policies and procedures, or other employee matters.
Contributes to team hiring and staff development activity.
Collaborates cross-functionally (Audit, Appeals, Analytics, etc.
) and with data mining leadership regarding systems, workflow, tools, and requirements related to the COB data mining function to ensure alignment, drive results, and continuous business value optimization.
Maintains current in-depth knowledge of COB rules, commercial billing guidelines and contracts, CMS regulations, applicable laws and policies, changes in technology, practice and regulatory issues that may affect our clientsLeads process improvement and cost savings activities initiatives.
