Roles and Responsibilities

As a Staff Data Scientist, you will be part of a cross-disciplinary team on developing commercially-facing analytics driven products. These teams typically include statisticians, computer scientists, software developers, product managers, and end users, working in concert with partners in GE business units. Potential application include real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, digital twins, fleet monitoring for Additive technology domain.

In this role, you will:

  • Work in a cross functional team and develop analytic models (statistical, AI, physics enriched) for in-situ monitoring of Additive machines and process.
  • Work alongside software developers and software engineers to translate algorithms into commercially viable products and services.
  • Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods for root cause diagnostics and anomaly detection.
  • Be responsible for development, verification, and validation of analytics driven solutions and products.
  • Work with stakeholders to explore new avenues in Additive analytics towards predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Actively contribute to design reviews, program management, customer sessions.
  • Demonstrate collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally

Education Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning or related field plus minimum 4 year of analytics development experience
  • Experience in analytics development towards asset health monitoring
  • Expertise in the use of Python/R  and/or other analytic software tools or languages
  • Expertise in data cleansing, data quality assessment, feature engineering and feature down-selection.
  • Expertise in statistics and statistical model development. Experience in machine learning and other AI models.
  • Experience with verification and deployment of analytics driven solutions and products.
  • Demonstrated skill in presentation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill
  • Demonstrated skill at working in a global team setting
