What is the Software Engineer – Data Quality responsible for?
The Software Engineer – Data Quality role is responsible for building reliable and scalable data quality solutions at Franklin Templeton and is a member of the Enterprise Data Office.

This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving the Data Quality Management (DQM) framework / tool that automates all aspects of the data quality lifecycle within the firm’s data and analytics eco-system.

In addition, this role is responsible for ensuring all critical datasets are onboarded to the DQM framework, supporting various data programs (migrations, analytics, regulatory reporting, etc.

), defining the most efficient way to approach data quality for a specific situation, designing KPIs and data quality monitoring and communication mechanisms (dashboards, reports, etc.

), and developing communication and reference materials to educate about and increase adoption of the DQM framework.

A critical aspect of this role is implementing industry best practices and building towards the future of data quality (streaming, anomaly detection, etc.

)
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Applications; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.

Expertise on Python development with deep exposure to Django web framework & Pandas.

Proficient in UI development (HTML/CSS).

Developer with experience working in Azure (webapps/app services/functions) & AWS (E2/Lambda/Elastic Beanstalk/CloudWatch) PaaS environments.

Sound knowledge on RDMS systems like Oracle, M
