GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting and investigation of production system problems
Detailed application code analysis to troubleshoot problems
Proactively identify improvements and enhancements to working practices, including automation of recovery scenarios
Produce well structured, maintainable, reliable and fit for purpose solutions at an accepted level of quality
Troubleshooting/defect fixing, ensuring all updates/changes are documented and retrofitted accordingly
Define, develop and maintain production support documentation in our knowledge base
Mentoring and training of other support engineers
Support of Disaster Recovery events
Assist project teams with production implementations
To be a trusted source of support expertise and proactively provide support leadership and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

An expert contributor for continuous improvement – ensure that software engineering processes (including tools and technical environments) are ‘best’ of breed, review and improve technology processes, to enable high quality but quicker development for the business.

Maintain technology expertise in one or more specialist domains through investigation of new supplier offerings and their product roadmaps, in conjunction with other areas of the program.

The role will also require you to build an overall understanding of the application and build effective relationships with architecture, software development other support groups.

Experience (essential)
