You will champion the need for more specialized financial data strategies and sophisticated data technology solutions processes and recommends and prioritizes implementation solutions impacting the investment management business and all of Vanguard!
You will lead a team that supports the Equity Investment Group and the Quantitative Equity groups with a focus on electronic trading leveraging experience in capital markets, product management and management experience in the investment and technology areas
This individual provides thought leadership, develops leaders, and takes a lead in defining financial technology strategies.

Acts as an innovation evangelist across our enterprise.

Builds and maintains strategic working relationships with key partners and ensures strong partnerships across our organization.

You will also continue to develop deep knowledge of financial markets and market structure changes to bring an informed perspective to current financial technology landscape.

This critical role:
Attracts and develops team and provides guidance, training, and motivation as vital to develop staff.

Supports the development of the data science and analytical skills of staff that raise the capabilities of the FinTech team and others.

Supports and facilitates technical and leadership career development.

Provides experienced leadership and understanding of the experimentation, implementation, architecture, and elevations of new and existing data strategies.

Plans long term data strategy, experimentation, and architecture with senior management.

Oversees research and development of internal data experimentation and techniques.

And conceptualizes, plans, and drives development of new financial analytic techniques using big data technologies to deliver analytical insights.

Develops relationships and collaborates across divisions and regions to lead financial technology engagement, coordinate key development initiatives, and execute resource planning for implementation.
