We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager – Data Scientist!
The role requires advanced analytical acumen and solution orientation.

The role possesses critical thinking skills and the ability to understand and manipulate data to provide insightful observations, identify trends and communicate these effectively.

The role is expected to act independently to make timely and informed decisions aligned to the role’s remit or to escalate as appropriate to management or others in IT as needed.

The role’s insight and proposed actions should strive to be strategic, look beyond ‘stop gap’ measures and seek to drive improvements to reporting and analysis practices
Responsibilities
At least relevant work experience, including expertise in linear models, promotional response models, clustering and classification algorithms, machine learning algorithms for prediction and Bayesian models.

The candidate must have strong consultative / listening skills, ability to analyze data, and translate business requirements into actionable capabilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Delivering data science components that are part of successful commercial products
Demonstrated understanding and experience in applying traditional statistical, machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and/or graph techniques to address business problems
Experience in Python/R, SQL and Shell scripts
Collaborating with engineering teams to develop prototypes and software products that can be deployed across varied environments (e.

g.

, cloud, on-premises, devices, etc.

)
Able to apply engineering discipline to data science outputs
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Must demonstrate personal accountability for driving company growth initiatives in a structured and compliant manner
Experience with distributed systems such as Hadoop/MapReduce, Spar
