What This Position Is All About:
Help HBC deliver high-quality, trend-right, and luxury merchandise to our Store and Online customers! By contributing to the Marketing analytics team using data science and Machine learning skills, you will add value to the Marketing function by helping the team(s) make high-impact business decisions. You will also work with a wide range of stakeholders from our headquarters and world-renowned Brands to turn ideas into impact.

As a Sr. Data Scientist of the Analytics team you will:

Own the Modelling and feature engineering process for current and future predictive analytics projects.
Design, develop, test, advocate and build predictive models and segmentations.
Contribute in creating ML models for Demand and sales forecasting for our digital businesses as well stores with the help of other Analysts.
Contribute towards model evolution, from test iteration to final production version. Ensure the models delivers acceptable results w.r.t to relevance and accuracy.
Applies scripting/programming skills to assemble various types of source data (unstructured, semi-structured, and structured) into well-prepared data sets with multiple levels of granularities.
Summarizes statistical findings and draws conclusions, presents actionable business recommendations.

Key Partnerships:

Work closely with the Analytics team in India as well as teams in Canada to deliver high impact analytics-driven solutions

Must haves:
1. Four-year degree or equivalent experience
2. 4+ years of relevant data science experience
2. Strong analytical, forecasting, problem-solving, and detail orientation
3. Knowledge of Python, and DataIKU (preferred but not required)
4. Ability to handle large sets and interpret data
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Good to haves:
1. Experience in retail and/or Apparel/Fashion industry
2. Working experience in dealing with NA clients
3. Msc. in Computer Science or other post-graduation degrees
