The Red Hat Data Development, Insights, and Strategy team is looking for a Data Scientist and Architect to join us in Boston, MA.

In this role, you will be a part of a team that is highly focused on using the combination of our product fleet data and our business and sales data to provide strategic insight to identify opportunities to maximize our understanding and delivery of product and business models which in turn maximize our ability to successfully capture our market opportunity.

This is an opportunity to join a team that is technically, business and strategy focused to scale and further grow Red Hat in its Hybrid Cloud vision and delivery.

You will have an opportunity to directly influence Red Hat’s strategic direction and business fulfillment by working with data to extract complex and extraordinary ideas that relate to our core strategy.

We are actively seeking an entrepreneurial individual with a background in technology, data, and business performance analysis and a passion for translating data into actionable insight and critical strategy for Red Hat.

Primary job responsibilities:
Manipulate large data sets and use them to identify trends and reach meaningful conclusions to inform strategic business decisions
Clean, aggregate, and organize data from disparate sources and transfer it to data warehouses
Design data modeling processes to create algorithms and predictive models and perform custom analysis
Analyzing the data to identify patterns and trends
Interpreting the data to discover solutions and opportunities
Communicating findings to stakeholders using visualization and other means
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcomes
Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
