PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer I is responsible for analyzing, designing and developing datasets, dimensional datamodels, reports and dashboards to support enterprise reporting and analytical requirements.
This includes following enterprise standards and the certified Dashboard UX framework to develop production-grade datasets, paginated reports and interactive dashboards based on business needs.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpersonal, consultative and technical skills to develop Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Technical Design Documents (TDD).
Analyze and evaluate new data requirements for business intelligence dashboards and reports and collaborate with the data architecture team and the data services team to implement complex data integrations involving multiple tables across a single platform for business intelligence products.
Design and implement scalable, user-friendly analytical models and visualization solutions sourcing data across platforms.
Own, troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues for the business intelligence team via data and code analysis across all business intelligence platforms.
Strong communication and presentation skills and must possess exceptional ability to work well with individuals and teams at all levels, across all LOB.
