Job Summary:-
This Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for working with key business customers and IT teams to deliver Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions to support VMwares growing business with optimized systems/processes.
This position will be a key point-of-contact for BI / Analytics activities for VMwares Sales organization.
By forming a strong partnership with other cross-functional teams such as IT, operations, and sales teams this Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will help ensure alignment on reporting / analytic initiatives and the underlying data architecture and ecosystem.
The position requires strong technical, analytical and communication skills.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will need to work independently, across distributed teams at different levels of the organization, including Executive level.
Key Responsibilities:
o Drive BI strategy, solution definition and execution for projects.
o Responsible for project planning, work product quality, project execution and project reviews.
o Become a subject matter expert on internal BI and reporting solutions.
o Become an advocate for BI usage and support user enablement and adoption.
o Develop in-depth business requirements for large projects -across a variety of business functions in all size projects.
o Manage stakeholder engagement with business teams to help define / refine / drive the BI strategy.
o Drive data analysis identifying trends and key drivers of metrics.
o Demonstrate expertise on business processes, life-cycles, and data drivers.
o Drive testing activities on new solutions introduced into production.
o Drive input to BI development team on requirements and enhancements to existing data sets and reporting technologies.
o Collaborate on the definition of KPIs and metrics to monitor and run the business.
o Lead reporting projects, taking ownership of successful completion for end to end life cycle for large company wide projects.
o Plan and execute communication, training, and documentation to enable successful user adoption.
o Drive proof-of-concepts, BI tool evaluations, and data analytic activities.
o Guide and mentor other Business Analysts in the team.
