Job Description:
At Regions, the Risk Quantitative Model Validation Group Manager will serve as the Head of Model Risk Management and Validation.
This leader will oversee enterprise-wide models, significant analytical tools, and ensure a consistent well-managed position on model governance for Regions.
As one of the most senior data scientists at Regions, the individual will also be a strategic thought leader across the platform and ensure on the continued development of talent across the quantitative and data science communities.
Primary Responsibilities
Continues to evolve and execute the overall strategy of Model Risk, to include Oversight, Validation, Policies, Controls, and Standards of Governance, leading teams to identity efficiencies through automation, process redesign, etc.
Develops the prioritization of model risk management activities
Provides both technical and non-technical guidance and training to model validation and model governance managers
Drives the development of Regions Model Risk Management program and ensures the quality execution of regulatory commitments
Takes responsibility for all model governance activities at Regions, including quality control, workf
