Job Summary

The Data Scientist is responsible for engineering and deploying Decision Sciences’ AI/ML solutions.  You will collaborate with Decision Sciences’ team members to deliver high quality, robust and reliable AI/ML solutions to internal partners.

This is a remote position (Pacific Time Zone schedule).

Essential Functions

• Optimize and package code written by data scientists to prepare Decision Sciences models for deployment
• Collaborate with data scientists to create and implement testing of model performance and functionality (including unit testing, regression testing, latency testing) to ensure model readiness for deployment
• Create and orchestrate automated CI/CD pipelines for Decision Sciences models
• SME on MLOps best practices
• Troubleshoot a wide variety of complex problems and identify solutions within broad applications and functional expertise
• Competent to work independently at a high technical level

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficient in Python programming language
• Experience with large data sets and big data computing technologies and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Proficient in version control and DevOps tools such as GitLab/GitHub/Azure DevOps
• Experience in cloud architecture/DevOps/MLOps/AWS Cloud
• Experience with deploying ML solutions, preferably in Azure
• Strong understanding of MLOps framework
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills

Education

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent discipline

Experience

• 3-5 years’ professional experience developing and deploying AI/ML models
