Job Posting Title Quality/Purchasing Analyst

Job Description Summary Position is responsible for managing engineering projects. He/she will receive instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. Assistance will be provided on unusual problems as required. He/she will perform basic engineering calculations, design analysis, and related tasks. Work will be reviewed for application of professional judgement.

In addition, this position serves as the back-up for the Purchasing Analyst and must learn the practices and policies as it pertains to this position.

Job Description

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
May aid or lead in the design of machines, fixtures, and gauging equipment as necessary to solve process problems and new process development. May coordinate fabrication and installation of machines, fixtures, and gauging equipment. Coordinate planning of layout for inspection equipment at Paris and Subiaco. Interface with production managers to aid in solving routine production problems. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES WITHIN THE QUALITY SYSTEM

Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities.
Identify and record problems. Lead problem solving teams
Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to problems through channels.
Verify the implementation of solutions.
Lead continuous improvement activities
Support & help meet VOC (Voice of the Customer)
Participate on APQP teams

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office and shop floor at Subiaco.
Occasional out of town travel.
