What is the Portfolio Construction Analyst team responsible for?
The Portfolio Construction Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with Portfolio Managers, Client Portfolio Managers, Research teams and other stake holders to produce mandate specific strategic asset allocation multi asset portfolios across geographies.
The analysts will work in collaboration with FTIS (Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions) teams to develop and propose solutions in a fund of fund structure.
These will be guided by clients needs, utilizing portfolio construction and risk system used in UIP (Unified Investment Platform).
The candidate also will be collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve the portfolio tools used by FTIS.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of Portfolio Construction Analyst?Portfolio Construction (50%):
Run the optimizations, efficient frontiers, risk analytics etc.
to assist in the asset allocation process of the institutional mandates globally and share investment ideas based on the FTs capital market expectations (CME) and other credible external sources.
Understand the process of CME construction and FactSet risk tree so that reasonable expected returns, volatility, and other inputs are used in any asset allocation exercise.
Independently provide asset allocation recommendations to internal stakeholders and using internal short term and long-term views.
Also work with Manager research teams to come up with a fund of fund structure that can be reviewed portfolio management leadership.
