JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
This position will execute, maintain, enhance and develop New Product Introduction, Engineering change notice and Parts Availability Report (NEPAR) and New Market Introduction (NMI) reports in an end user environment for NPI Authorizations groups, part of Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD).

The incumbent will assist the Parts Product Specialists and Parts Product Analysts within NPI Authorizations team towards achieving Aftermarket parts readiness by GW6 to meet the Product Group’s parts availability goals prior to first ship date of the new product/program.

The incumbent will support the Parts Product Specialist for the Service Parts Blitz meetings to collaborate with the product group, service engineers, and related personnel in determining serviceability strategy for new content on NPI programs.

This position will support the PPS in providing key information on setting availability, initial order quantities, service levels, and other parts stocking parameters related to products and specific programs.

He/she will help the analysts prioritize their workload of engineering change notices in order to meet program dates.

This position will involve interaction with people from diverse technical and cultural backgrounds.

The analytics project scope will vary from a moderate technical focus to a broader, multi-systems focus, and will require good understanding of Cat Parts business and NPI functions.

The incumbent must be capable of translating user needs into proper use of the hardware/software environment to generate useful output.

This includes full consideration for data security, edits, controls, and recoverability.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Maths / Science / Commerce
6 – 8 years relevant work experience in developing and maintaining SAS programs
Requires a self-starting person with strong analytical skills in SAS.

This position will also require good project management skills to lead research projects.

Must have excellent system diagnostic and analytical skills
Good knowledge of Cat Parts business and NPI functions
Strong technical skills on PC SAS, Mainframe SAS and Power BI
Good oral and wri
