We’re looking for an experienced Manager, Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) with outstanding analytical skills, strong technical acumen, and the ability to lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers, Business Analysts, and lead our Workforce Management initiatives. The ideal candidate has advanced problem solving, data mining and SQL skills, and can model complex datasets to answer ambiguous questions through data. They also have strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively with cross-functional global teams, and can work in an environment with rapidly-changing priorities and tight deadlines. In this role, you will conduct deep dive analyses into recruiting data that results in direct influence over analytical roadmaps, establishment of key performance metrics, and creation of dashboards to track goal progress and performance health.

Key job responsibilities
Project Management and Communications:
Lead data source discovery efforts across databases and identify data/table links/joins between data/table sets. Uphold highest standard for ETL jobs/Queries/Code/Scripts
Own technical solutions delivery for strategic goals and ad-hoc projects.
Manage stakeholder requirements, feature requests, solution life-cycle management, write 1-pagers/6-pagers/PRFAQ before new solution launches.
Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of assigned projects with stakeholders and organize training sessions for successful roll-outs and implementation.
Work with technical teams/software-developers across geographies to ensure accurate and sufficient data inflow in systems or data-warehouses.
Identify customer-impacting issues, working out and implementing solutions and process improvements to increase customer satisfaction rate. Participates in cross-functional process improvement initiatives
Responds to reporting or data escalations, providing root cause analysis and recommendation. Develops remediation plan and drives to resolution with minimal guidance.
People Management:
Inspire and manage a talented Business Intelligence Engineering team to achieve its goals and developmental potential.
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
Manage a team of data engineers and plan their skill development in line with long term vision in mind.
Conduct performance reviews, promotions, talent assessments, and coaching & development.
Assist in developing and implementing training programs to improve the quality and productivity of the team.
Technical Management:
Lead development and management of data infrastructures (e.g data-warehouse infrastructure/AWS S3/EMR), tools, dashboards, queries, reports, and scripts that will automate recurring tasks for stakeholders while ensuring data quality and integrity. Ensuring accuracy of data and data analysis is of utmost importance.
Leveraging code to analyze complex datasets and design, develop and evaluate data transformations to solve specific business problems.
Building scalable, efficient, and automated data processes to capture, control and validated all data with in a process to maintain data integrity and facilitate customer-facing reporting.
Enable customers to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses. Source, work with, and combine disparate data sets to answer business questions.
Continue to move forward in the face of ambiguity and imperfect data. Find a solution around the problem that still maintains a high analytical bar.
Communicate analysis results and techniques, both verbally and in writing, clearly and confidently to peers and business partners.
-Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related discipline -Experience using AWS analytical services (e.g., Redshift, Data Pipeline, EMR, Machine Learning, Kinesis) -10+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence role -History of machine Learning process integration with BI solutions is a plus -Experience based knowledge on building cloud native solutions -Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations -Effective verbal and written communication to senior audiences, including strong data presentation and visualization skills -Experience creating forecast models and projections using Python, R, and other extensions in Tableau
