GENERAL SUMMARY
We are looking for smart, innovative, and motivated individuals with automotive research & development background to join the Qualcomm Autonomous Driving team in San Diego, and work on designing and prototyping the brain of next generation autonomous vehicles.
You will have the opportunity to work with a group of top talents in computer vision, advanced Radar and Lidar processing and deep learning, Sensor Fusion, Behavior Prediction, Behavior and Motion Planning under uncertainty, optimizing deep learning workloads for efficient operation at the edge, in Qualcomm San Diego, CA.
Job responsibilities to include:Research, design, develop, and test perception software for automotive Lidar sensors with a focus on state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms for object detection and tracking, scene segmentation, and lane detection.
Functional decomposition to drive requirements and specifications to both hardware and software for the two use cases.
1.
Lidar perception SW as part of the automotive stack on our HW.
2.
Lidar perception SW with a more expensive sensor to provide a benchmark (“ground truth”) to evaluate automotive stack components.
Ensure that system-level performance and power metrics are met.
Drive triage of problems at the system level to determine root cause.
Work closely with test engineers to develop test plans for validating performance in simulations and real-world testing.
