JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
As a Lead Parts Product Analyst-Authorizations, have the opportunity to analyze engineering release and change notices, determine serviceability, create master records, identify and categorize critical parts, determine anticipated demand worldwide and place initial stocking requirements to balance parts inventory levels against months of supply for the first 24 months after release.

Process, order, allocate, and manage worldwide parts inventory levels for successful New Product Launch (NPI) and continue parts availability for NPI parts.

Also, to serve as a lead position within each product section to train and mentor new team members.

Working Engineering change notices released for new/updated models prior to target date provided by the Product Specialist.

This includes analyzing engineering notices, setting up new parts, issuing cancellations, submitting changes to Numerical Parts Record (NPR) and spending a majority of time analyzing new engineering releases and changes to determine which parts will be serviced and distributed worldwide, using the various systems available to gather needed information and create master record to generate purchase orders and other activities related to parts support.

This activity requires independent judgment based on experience.

Provides training includes new staff to the position along with on-going support to other analysts with more complex authorization problems.

Training can include new systems and processes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the analyst responsibilities.

Works closely with the division training and process manager.

Works closely with Product Specialists and Product Business Units in relation to New Product Introduction and with the Division to relay product service strategy and obtain supplier information to provide the latest information to Publications for the creation of Parts Books.

Responsible for interpreting and acting on engineering changes for correct replacement parts in the appropriate applications to ensure the Corporate New Product Introduction parts support.

The Division as a whole encounters over 180K – 200K engineering change notices per year.
