Junior Data Specialist – Position Description

A Junior Data Specialist works closely with the Operations, Client Success, & Sales teams to create and review reports, oversee client processes, and maintain accurate data. This role will give you exposure to many facets of the operation from sales, accounting, marketing, technology, and client success and is a great opportunity for advancement within Trek10.

Responsibilities:

Customer / client support (50-60%):

• Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding client practices
• Work with the Client Success team to monitor client projects
• Build and analyze reports on client / product profitability
• Prepare and/or review summary reports and perform detail checks to ensure quality of agent response
• Maintain and clean up data inconsistencies within Salesforce
• Innovate and optimize on all of the above

Internal support and project management (40-50%):

• Create reports and dashboards for internal department use
• Generate and review reports for weekly project reviews and monthly invoicing
• Establish and maintain clearly written procedures for internal and external services
• Optimize and streamline internal processes
• Complete system maintenance and improvement

Learning:

• Obtain AWS certification(s) – one of the most highly sought after skills
• Improve internal processes by creating automations using customizable low- and no-code software tools such as Retool, ClickUp, Slack, Zendesk, GSuite, Salesforce, Notion, and project management software
• Use Trek10 systems – proprietary tools and and leading technology 3rd party monitoring tools
• Learn about serverless, event-driven architectures

Everything else…

• Write cool blogs on the world renowned Trek10 blog
• Develop training courses on various topics for the Trek10 team
• Analyze data across Trek10 teams

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Task oriented and driven to improve processes and workflows
• Data analysis and spreadsheet experience preferred
• Project management experience preferred
• Business intelligence / reporting service and SQL experience preferred, not required
• Salesforce experience preferred, not required
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services preferred, not required
• Excellent written and oral communication in English
