What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Supporting the risk management function in the creation and maintenance of a data governance framework
• Leveraging actuarial and quantitative skills to establish and track suitable data controls around risk processes, exposures, models and reports
• Ensuring timely documentation of all risk processes ahead of quarterly risk meetings and quarterly risk committees
• Liaising with the business to confirm data quality requirements for our various data systems are being met at all times but also address data issues when they arise
• Extracting data from our centralized database for the purposes of producing quarterly compliance reports, addressing queries from the business and preparing input data for risk modeling
• Interacting with IT to enhance and maintain the management information tools used by the business to access both risk and exposure information

You will report to the Senior Actuary in Reinsurance Risk Management.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science or Management Information
• Studying to become an actuary
• Prior experience in data management role
• Prior experience in working with management information systems
• Knowledge of industry leading data governance, data quality and data protection management practices a plus
• Programming skills a plus
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL and VBA
• A self-motivated problem solver with a strong attention to detail & highly organized
• Excellent oral, written and communication/presentation skills
