The Institutional Analytics & Research Manager coordinates the assembly and delivery of institutional information, supporting all SLCC functional units in applying evidence-based practices to make data-informed decisions and the effective communication of performance outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders of the College.
The Manager is responsible for on the assimilation, refinement and effective use of existing and new information platforms and analytic tools to meet the information needs of the College.
Institutional initiatives managed by this position include the development and deployment of data dashboards, conducting and reporting customized analyses drawing data from multiple sources/platforms to meet stakeholder needs, and integrating the use of descriptive and predictive analytics tools to support student success outcomes.
The Manager is also responsible for overseeing the effective use of institutional data collection platforms and ensures the timely production and delivery of mandated State and Federal reporting requirements (e.
g.
, Louisiana Board of Regents and IPEDS reports).
The Manager will work closely with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation to develop and provide systematic solutions to internal information needs.
Effective collaboration with and/or supervision of Office of Institutional Excellence personnel is inherent in this role.
This position reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness (AVCIE).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage, coordinate, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive program of institutional research and analytics including data sourcing, analysis, interpretation, standardization, synthesis and reporting in service to all functional areas of the College.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to manage the acquisition, warehousing, analysis and reporting of data to support institutional initiatives, accreditation processes, and quality improvement processes.
