Piper Companies is seeking a Data Scientist to join a Technology Solutions company located in Boston, MA. The Data Scientist will support machine learning research and development through data collection, signal processing, data mining and analysis. This position will be hybrid (2-3 days on-site per week).

Responsibilities of the Data Scientist include:

Develop tools and code in Python to test and characterize performance and limitations of different gesture classification models
Perform data characterization and data mining to generate methods and metrics for evaluating performance of real-time gesture interference
Research for state-of-the-art gesture classification algorithms using IMU and biopotential sensor data with conventional ML and deep learning AI techniques

Qualifications of the Data Scientist include:

2+ years of industrial experience
Proficient experience and understanding with ML/AI, deep learning algorithms and development
Python coding skills, experience with frameworks such as Tensorflow and/or Pytorch
Understanding of cloud computing and knowledge of data querying

Compensation of the Data Scientist include:

Salary Range: $140-$160k **depending on experience**
