Job Summary:-
Roles & Responsibilities:
Alert and diagnostic monitoring

Participate 24×7 on call support on a weekly rotating schedule, including weekends

Work closely with Product Development teams and provide feedback to improve product quality

Develop administration automation and monitoring scripts as needed

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures/documentation

Provide escalation support for database related issues

Other duties, as assigned
Competitive characteristics include:
Bachelor OR Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent

7+ years of extensive database management experience with strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive

Sharp troubleshooting skills to investigate errors and performance bottlenecks

Willing to work in a 24×7 production mission critical environment, including weekends

Strong understanding and experience with Saas concepts and very large databases

Strong experience and understanding of working with Multi-tenant environment

Experience with database security and encryption methods including database vault, TDE, Audit-vault etc

Experience with Oracle database 12c/18c/19c(Multi-tenant), RAC, ASM, Data Guard and Performance tuning

Experience migrating database from on-premise to Cloud Infrastructure.

Experience migrating database from non-multitenant to multitenant architecture.

Experience on GoldenGate, Gateway product is preferred

Experience with setting up Enterprise Manager for monitoring and administering mission critical databases

Experience with database backup and recovery

Experience with database patching and upgrades

Experience in any Unix shell script, Perl script and Python

Experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL code

Experience with automation

Experience administering databases on Exadata would be a strong plus

Experience/Knowledge on OCI environment and/or familiarity with other cloud platforms/concepts would be an added advantage.

Excellent written, verbal communication and documentation skills

Oracle OCP DBA certification – Preferred
