Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Data Specialist
As aAsAs you will be responsible for: Identifying, gathering, and analysing complex, multi-dimensional datasets utilizing a variety of tools.
Formulating mathematical approaches to solve those problems potentially utilizing Standard Query Language (SQL), Statistical Packages Social Sciences(SPSS), R, Watson.
Using industry technologies, tools and data mining frameworks for data analytics including data visualization for analyzing and drawing conclusions.
Working with clients in defining the key business problems to be solved while developing, maintaining and leveraging key client relationships.
Developing junior team members and leading project tasks.
Maintaining knowledge and understanding of current and emerging trends within the analytics industry.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
As a Data Specialist / Analytics will work within the TA Metrics and Analytics team within HR.
This person will also collaborate closely with client teams, such as other TA teams in IBM HR.
Work collaboratively with other groups within the company and apply insights to make complex and strategic decisions for the benefit of IBM
Providing support to HR professionals who use Cognos as a self-service tool for accessing HR data (e.
g.
Access administration, Query development and trouble-shooting, One-O-One Cognos training)
Communicating changes/developments in DSSA team with other HR Professionals
Designing/developing analytical approaches to solve our client’s business problems
Sourcing and formatting of HR data from various HR databases using the Cognos and Analytical tool/s
Preparation and presentation of regular and ad-hoc workforce reports incorporating key metrics such as headcount, hiring, attrition plus focus areas such as diversity, sales, etc.
