R&D Hub, Print Analytics Team work closely with Print GBU of HP Inc.
across multiple domains.
We provide data-driven actionable insights to influence business decisions.
Within the Print Analytics, Supplies Analytics Team seeks to deliver complex analysis through simulation, optimization, forecasting, predicting and finding patterns in data to improve intelligence through leverage of Big Data, Unstructured Data or Distributed Data.
Business Environment
Print Analytics Supplies Team strategically partners with the Big Data Business Transformation organization, who has launched a large scale Big Data program to collect a high volume of customer print usage data to create a competitive advantage for the Business.
Enrichment data is also collected from various sources including 3rd party data providers.
For the data to be leveraged for analytics, we are looking for a high caliber Data Scientist who works in collaboration with third party data providers, Big Data Business Transformation and Print Business Management teams.
Role Description: The data scientist would be responsible for solving complex business problems in the marketing domain.
She / He will be responsible for making data connections between different data sources to be able to tell more stories with the enriched data; provide better understanding of customers, their industry, usage patterns, etc to influence strategic decision-making.
She / He should be able to identify the right enrichment data sources, utilize those sources to deliver more value and meet the needs of the business, and partner with Data Engineering Org to identify the critical data fields that should be onboarded and drive the onboarding timelines/priorities/processes.
Using data driven approach and leveraging the Big Data system; Search Analytics, enhancing Geolocation capabilities, A/B testing, testing the impact of pilots, providing channel insights, and influencing product design are some of the areas where the data scientist will be expected to contribute.
She / He should aspire to influence business decisions through analytics and generation of actionable insights.
