The Data Scientist works closely with the Chief Data Scientist using state-of-the-art data science methods to help solve complex challenges.

This role uses knowledge of machine learning, hands-on programming and related data science methods.

The Data Scientist will support customers and/or internal stake holders to develop data science models, test and validate modelling results and integrate with existing applications.

Job Duties/Roles
Apply advanced data science concepts to deliver data driven offerings and insights
Utilize your knowledge of modern data driven methods and domain understanding to support the creation of new products and services using predictive and descriptive models.

Be hands-on in ability to develop working prototypes, implement analytical approaches, write independent source code, validate and test for model quality and always strive for improvement
Experienced in applying Machine Learning models using classification, regression, time series models using structured and un-structured data
Use your experience and is comfortable in working in database query (such as SQL) and Microsoft Azure cloud
Are able to process, wrangle data and comfortable with model development and integration.

Develop code in scripting languages like Python and others
Be able to think independently and work as part of a cross-functional team to achieve common goals
Comfortable taking guidance and then working independently on data science tasks and is eager to learn
Stay current in the field of advanced analytics and take initiative to test-out new technologiesQualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)
Master’s Degree in Analytical field or Data Science or Computer Science or other relevant field
Preferably 3-4 years of relevant experience in data science but others are also encouraged to apply
Exposure in using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence methods
Exposure working with structured and unstructured data, data quality issues
Demonstrable experience with programming languages such as R, Python (used numpy, pandas, etc.

)
Strong knowledge of data architectures and systems – SQL and others for data processing and ETL purposes
