Key job responsibilities:

  • Manage GBS case management system including feature enhancements and user access.
  • Develop deep understanding of HP’s data ecosystem to leverage existing capabilities and define new requirements for fraud detection.
  • Drive innovation and integration of new data science-related technologies and practices into projects and business initiatives.
  • Define and implement models to uncover fraud patterns and predictions creating business value and innovation.
  • Apply knowledge of AI and ML to define data products, schemas, and models to automate data solutions that can scale.
  • Draw insights into effective visualizations, communicating business value and innovation potential.
  • Implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Identify new opportunities for data acquisition, technologies, and partner collaborations to bring value to the business and data science domain.
  • Merge new systems with existing warehouse structures.
  • Develop a GBS data strategy with an end-to-end vision for data flow that aligns with HP’s digital transformation.
  • Define a roadmap that defines the data requirements for new feature development to incorporate needs of the business.
  • Manages relationships with business partners to evaluate and foster data-driven innovation and resolve issues.
  • Develop data pipelines and warehousing strategies that prepare data for robust analysis.
  • Provide guidance, training and mentoring to less-experienced staff.
  • Collaborate with managers, investigators, analysts, developers, and other SMEs to ensure free flow of information and appropriate data/product provision.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry approaches and available technologies.
  • Option to perform link analysis and ad hoc OSINT research to support investigations.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Extensive experience using statistics, mathematics, algorithms, and programming languages (such as SQL, Python, and R) to solve big data challenges.
  • Fluent in structured and unstructured data, its management, and modern data transformation methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge of data science concepts and use of AI and Machine Learning.
  • Experience working with different database types, data warehousing, and data manipulation.
  • Ability to define and create complex models to pull valuable insights, predictions, and innovation from data.
  • Expertise with visualization tools like PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Understanding of data compliance and privacy standards on data capture and usage.
  • Effectively and creatively tell stories and create visualizations to describe and communicate data insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate data insights and negotiate options at senior management levels.
  • Advanced project management skills, ideally in Agile methodology.
  • Strong business acumen and business process understanding.
  • OSINT research and link analysis skills are a plus.

Education and professional experience required:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Typically, 6-10 years’ experience including graduate or postgraduate research.
  • Data Management Professional (CDMP) highly desirable.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certification is a plus.
