Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the tracking and auditing of all data in and out of the business Identify, assess, monitor, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used
  • Collaborating with database developers to improve data collection and storage processes.
  • Running data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions
  • Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends.
  • Reporting data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs.
  • Keeping abreast of developments and trends in data quality analysis.
  • Undertake and Conduct Data Quality Management activities such as (but limited to):
    • Identify, compare, and resolve data quality problems
    • Evaluate large dataset for quality and accuracy
    • Determine business impact level for data quality issues
    • Determine root cause for data quality errors and make recommendations for long-term solutions
    • Monitoring and reviewing data that is entered into the firm’s matter and client relationship management systems, checking for completion and accuracy.
    • Research and determine scope and complexity of issue so as to identify steps to fix issue
    • Develop process improvements to enhance overall data quality
    • Ensure adherence to data quality standards
    • Resolve all internal data exceptions in timely and accurate manner
    • Identify areas of improvement to achieve data quality
    • Monitor and report on data quality assurance / production performance metrics
    • Work with CCB sub LOB teams to establish and monitor service level agreements, communication protocols with data suppliers, and data quality assurance policies
    • Provide data quality advisory services to clients and to internal stakeholders
    • Document the DQAs contribution to other projects and participate in cross-functional teams
  • Communicate status to management and stakeholders as necessary through verbal and written communication
  • Candidate should have strong experience in handling large volume of data
  • Candidate should have exposure to Data Governance framework and Data Quality procedure

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar.
  • At least 6+ years’ experience in data analysis,.
    • Minimum 2 years of Process Analysis / Process Improvement, Technology Development/Support, Risk and/or Project Management experience
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with Mortgage, Credit Card, Auto, or Student Loan operations processes, data and/or technology platforms
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Root Cause Analysis on data – strongly preferred
  • Experience and proficiency in data management including advance Structured Query Language (SQL) in TERADATA, ORACLE, SQL Server and SAS.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills. And knowledge of best practices in data analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand business and technical functions
  • Strong MS Office Excel skills utilizing large, dynamic data sets – strongly preferred
  • Highly motivated, team player, self-starter and capable of working independently as well as in a team/collaborative environment
  • Issue management tool like JIRA
  • Should have knowledge on Confluence tool
  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced, agile environment
