Job Summary:-
The IT Data Engineer I is responsible for supporting the end to end data ecosystem to support the organization.
This position is responsible for supporting data-driven capabilities throughout the organization, including areas such as business intelligence, reporting, data science and data analytics.
The IT Data Engineer I will read, analyze and digest what business wants to accomplish with data and design the best possible ETL process to meet the business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
Hands on development of frameworks and applications for data processing.
Design and implement an Enterprise Data Lake consisting of Operational Data Stores and Marts
Verifies changes by developing unit test plans, test data and scripts.
Also performs desk checks and debugging.
Implement and support a platform that can provide ad-hoc access to large datasets.
Monitor the lifecycle of systems by being aware of obsolescence and release dates for the product.
Review patch and upgrade information and ensure implementation where appropriate.
Track issues and errors, documenting resolutions.
Production support biweekly on-call rotation.
Ensure changes follow appropriate release management processes.
Respond to and resolve reported application, data, or tool issues in a timely manner.
Review a change request and provide an estimate on effort required for completion.
Collaborate with teams/partners to improve overall operational maturity of the data ecosystem.
Troubleshoot and resolve daily operation issues.
Design and implement an Enterprise Data Store consisting of a Landing Zone, and subject specific Staging and Mart databases using Replication, SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL and Stored Procedures.
Work with business stakeholders to create and maintain reports in SSRS and PowerBI using relational and SSAS data sources.
Design, code, test and aggregate results from SQL queries to provide information to business users.
Work with Project Manager in developing and executing project plans within assigned schedule and timeline.
Determine Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing solutions to meet business needs.
Manage the companys Enterprise Data Store including:
Validate automated data feeds into the database.
