Job detailsJob TypeFull-timeFull Job DescriptionAzure Capacity Supply Chain and Provisioning is looking for a highly motivated senior level data scientist to help Capacity Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) Organization at Microsoft to predict, optimize and build the future of cloud computing.

You will operate as part of a well-established data science team responsible for managing data and feature engineering to support multivariate data science models library and maintaining/updating data and features in production for demand forecasting purposes.

Your contributions will enable data science practice to develop multivariate models and put them in production to support demand and capacity planning for Microsoft’s vast and rapidly growing cloud business.

You will interact closely with fellow data scientists, PMs, and engineers.

Responsibilities
Work with the data scientists and engineers to manage data and feature engineering in support of data science models in production.

Test, cleanse, deploy, maintain data in production in support of running forecasting algorithms.

Contribute to the development of our Data Science Machine Learning (DSML) Platform by managing multivariate data in the platform.

Research, develop and deploy deep features from multiple sources of data for continuous improvement of our forecasts.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
B.

Sc.

in Computer Science or Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or similar applied quantitative field.

5+ years of industry experience in developing production-grade statistical and machine learning code in a team environment.

Preffered Qualifications
Well versed in coding in data management tools such as SQL, Cosmos, etc.

Experience in R and Python in distributed computing environment.

Experience in agile process is a plus.

Knowledge and ability to work within a large-scale computing context, and hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, DataBricks or similar.

Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
