The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Information Technology Services is seeking a Data & Analytics Manager with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join the team.

As the Data & Analytics Manager, you will be an integral member of the Learning Management System program team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to enable a world-class, integrated teaching and learning experience for faculty and students that sets the standard for teaching excellence, academic achievement, and inclusivity.

The Data & Analytics Manager oversees the data reporting and visualization products within the UCLA LMS Team.

Primary customers include university leadership, faculty, and administrators.

The scope of this role will help to oversee the development and creation of key metrics and reporting related to the entire student lifecycle on the Canvas LMS, including enrollment, engagement, platform adoption, and other key milestones.

This individual will oversee the daily management of a data architect and data analyst, and will seek to establish consistent processes and reliable insights and visualization that help to inform business decisions, pedagogy, and effective online learning.

Activities include: Gather requirements from key stakeholders; design, create and deploy new reports, insights, and key metrics that support the effective deployment and delivery of the UCLA LMS.

Oversee a team responsible for the effective management, storage, and security of online student information.

Strong familiarity with FERPA and other data security protocols is a core requirement.

Undertake new projects that involve understanding new data sets, modeling the data in an optimal way to support reporting use cases, and creating reporting deliverables.

Ensure priorities are well understood and assigned in a transparent manner.

Develop custom, data-driven, and responsive visualizations, and dashboards for business users and the campus community.

Delivering capabilities on schedule partnered with consistent and clear communication.
