Job Purpose

Develop and deploy data-based sustainable solutions while working with R&D scientists, IT & data teams and answer important questions that drive key decisions for our business

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical contributions in a fast-paced team environment to accelerate efforts on building analytics-driven solutions.
  • Work within the analytics community, domain experts, partners in regional area and overseas to curate structured and unstructured data from disparate sources, cleanse and validate the data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and uniformity.
  • Assess the needs of automation in data stewardship and data analytics projects, design, implement and sustainable automation solutions.
  • Use mathematical algorithms and statistics, strong business acumen to deliver insight, recommendations, and solutions.
  • Develop sustainable, consumable, accurate, and impactful data reporting solutions.
  • Compile data from internal and external sources and construct data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to ongoing data science efforts, utilize available data sets and data science best practices to identify business risks and opportunities. Activity influences procedures and/or company policy.
  • Independently conceives, plans, and conducts investigations which can have significant influence on technological developments.
  • Seek and build collaborations on project and workstream initiatives for the Data Science Community.
  • Work in agile environment, partner with the business and functions, data stewards, domain experts, project/program managers and other scientific teams, engineering/ IT teams to transform data into actionable knowledge and recommendations that can be used to make sound organizational decisions.
  • Develop analytics models and scalable analytical solutions that generate insights to drive a competitive advantage.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Statistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computational Biology or related discipline. 2+ years’ experience years working experience in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Data Analytics, Data Stewardship, Computational Biology or related discipline
  • Strong proficiency in computational skills, building automated data science workflows, data analytics solutions using R, Python or other statistical and/or mathematical programming languages
  • Proficiency in Data visualization, Data stewardship, Data Scraping, Job scheduling and concepts
  • Strong communication competencies to include presentations and delivery of complex quantitative analyses in a clear, concise and actionable manner to broad audiences and key stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Ability to challenge status quo and to embrace change
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities; facilitates solutions
  • Experience in working with cross-cultural teams
