Data Management Analyst

Working in an international environment, for banks across the globe, on a topic where you will have an immediate impact on the business.

The Data Scientist is a member of the Data Governance department, which is responsible for business intelligence, data governance, data quality initiatives, and data management. The department is global and cross-functional with currently people working in three different locations across the globe.. The Data Governance department consists o deals with all business and regulatory requirements around data governance and data quality.

Your key tasks and responsibilities are:

• Articulate data requirements from the bank’s business functions to the technical development team;
• Design and build dashboards using the business intelligence tool (QLIK);
• Execute regular reporting runs for the various business functions and senior managers;
• Set up Data Quality controls using Python, SQL;
• Report on Data Quality controls using Qlik;
• Perform data analytics tasks as requested by Data Quality and Data Science managers;
• Develop management reports concerning data management and data quality;
• Perform reviews of regulatory required data;
• Be a contact for data stewards and data owners on specific questions on data;
• Help develop optimal processes around data;
• Support the Data Governance team in all its activities;
• Participate in the preparation and execution of specific topics based trainings for the banks;
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with relevant internal and external parties;
• Take an active role in specific business projects.

Qualifications and Experience: the following will be highly regarded:

• Must have an academic background and working level;
• Ability to problem solve data requirements, working through request in a clear and methodical way;
• Proven analytical skills, to assist the business on reviewing and presenting the data in a clear and professional manner;
• Experience in QLIK or equivalent BI tools;
• Knowledge of complex data structures, data models and database languages (SQL);
• Ability to communicate to various levels of the business in a clear and effective manner;
• Masters degree in data analytics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics.
• Preferred experience in financial service industry, consultancy or aligned function;
• Strong quantitative skills;
• Understanding of IT solutions to optimize manual processes;
• Research and analytical skills;
• Knowledge of relevant data quality and data governance regulation;
• Strong communicative and interpersonal skills (in English);

• Ability to work independently and to liaise with other departments;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications, mainly Excel.
