This role is an amazing opportunity for someone with a passion for healthcare/pharma industry, business insight and data analysis. This role will be responsible for the management and manipulation of mostly US healthcare and its structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting trend analysis, performing normalization operations and assuring data quality. As part of team, you will typically use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform root cause analysis and interpret data to propose solutions to leading pharma companies globally. These solutions help Pharma in brand planning, forecasting, market access strategy and pipeline/portfolio optimization.

Candidates should aim to achieve the below mentioned items during their tenure in Optum:

• Own project deliverables by working closely with cross functional Data Science, Data Engineering and Project management teams

• Research and build new applications or capabilities by applying advanced Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) techniques to areas of manual document processing

• Leverage Optum’s Cloud infrastructure to tackle previously unsolved problems across Fraud Waste and Abuse, Provider Operations, Provider Experience, Transaction Operations, Customer Engagement and Experience, Clinical Services etc.

• Interaction with business stakeholders and engage in communications with business partners for all important functions associated with the project including data understanding, solution design and maintaining an effective ongoing client relationship

MBA in General Management, Healthcare Management, Public Health or any Healthcare related specialization o Minimum 2-3 years of prior work experience in Product/Analytics organization with focus on techno-functional role o Prior experience in Team Management & Stakeholder Management related to Product Development/Analytics Development – Highly Preferred o Ability to work with Business Stakeholders and internal teams to define the Analytics strategy and Roadmap o Exposure to SAS, R, Stata, Matlab, SPSS, or similar programming languages in past – Highly Preferred o Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint o Prior knowledge of Data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI – Highly Preferred
o Prior experience in working on Application of Big Data knowledge for healthcare specific problems – Highly Preferred
o US healthcare industry overview and USFDA protocols – Highly Preferred o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities o The candidate must be motivated, inquisitive and able to readily take ownership of responsibilities
