Who You’ll Work With
This role is part of a fun-loving, diverse team, with a broad range of cultures and backgrounds. You will work with legal partners, a broad range of data and IT experts, and other Data Analysis teams at Cisco. You will engage with both leaders and individual contributors while collaborating across multi-functions at Cisco.
Specifically, You will:
- Lead data analysis projects from design through implementation, including conducting business review meetings, defining requirements and work, reception of and processing of data, and presenting findings to executive leadership
- Drive end-to-end data processing by identifying, gaining, cleansing, verifying, analyzing, and presenting the data using powerful methods and tools
- Answer sophisticated business questions via structured problem-solving techniques
- Provide analytical consulting by identifying and presenting useful insights through statistical methods, predictive models, random forests and by conducting linear regression and classification
- Build the vision for data Analysis solutions incorporating the latest industry best-practices and techniques
- Serve as Product Owner for executive dashboards, leading the development of visually impactful charts and reports
- Provide mentorship and training to junior colleagues and maintain progress on all projects with minimal direct supervision
Qualifications
- BS in Applied Mathematics, Probability and Statistics
- 5+ years of proven data Analysis experience, skilled in applied mathematics and statistics, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive modeling methods and techniques
- Expertise in driving data-driven executive decisions with efficiency and accuracy
- Superb communication skills. You must be able to meaningfully engage with collaborators with limited data expertise during both question definition and results delivery.
- Ability to do exploratory analysis on large volumes of data and find key descriptive and inferential properties.
- High interest in engaging poorly-defined problems, lead problem definition, root-cause analysis, and resolution plans.
- Ability to independently and consistently run your work and project timelines.
- Excellent programming skills with R, Python and SQL; Great experiences with MS Excel, Tableau and cloud platforms like Snowflake and Google Cloud; Ability to manipulate and visualize large and sophisticated datasets with these skills.
- Ability of data modeling, including statistical analysis and the implementation and optimization of machine learning algorithms/models.
