THE POSITION

Data Analyst should be a person who can turn data into information, information into insights and insights into business decisions using various analytics techniques. This person should have technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data and ability to process, design and present it in ways to help businesses, and organizations make better decisions. This person should also have a very fine eye for business details, experience as a data analyst, and deep understanding of the major data analysis tools and databases.

Tasks & responsibilities

Acquiring, Managing and maintaining data sets and Analytics platforms in different areas and sources (primary or secondary).
Ensuring quality, integrity, normalization and accuracy of available datasets.
Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Interpreting data, analysing results using statistical techniques, developing analytical reports.
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
Helping organization taking key decisions based on integrated analytics involving different datasets.
Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
Creating Analytics reports as per Business needs
Successful management of Analytics projects in BI
Management of data & Analytics related system from Business perspective
Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma on from an accredited university or college in computer science, Information Management or Statistics
Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
Experience in working on Business intelligence tools/platforms and systems
Project Management skill involving large data sets and multiple stakeholders
Ability to analyse existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
High-level written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong knowledge of and experience with various reporting tools, software, techniques- Tableau, Power BI, Excel VBA Macros, SQL, Oracle, Python, C language, SPSS, SAS etc.
Basic IT Knowledge on MS Office applications
Role is based in Mumbai
