The team partners with colleagues in coverage and industry teams to originate and execute the full range of transactions including buy-sides and sell-sides, mergers, defense, fairness opinion and valuation advice.
Job description:
The candidate will be part of the APAC M&A Business Management team within the Finance & Business Management (F&BM) department of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB).
The role aims to be a trusted advisor in all aspects of APAC M&A business including strategy, people agenda, financial and competitor performance, technology and controls.
The role involves working very closely and partnering with the M&A business and the various control and support functions in (a) assisting the business to achieve its immediate, short, medium and long term objectives, (b) making sure the business is aligned with control and support functions (such as Legal, Compliance, Operations, HR, Audit, Technology, etc.
) and the associated requirements and (c) ensuring the business is in compliance with the appropriate corporate objectives and policies.
This is a regional role based in India.
Responsibilities:Act as trusted advisor to Business Heads and the team
Identification, facilitation and pursuance of business objectives and opportunities
Facilitate business reviews, resources analysis and budgetary process
Assist with the definition and implementation of cross-regional processes and procedures, reflecting risks and control requirements as well as regional nuances
Oversee expenses management
Analyze and report key trends and themes for senior audiences
Produce strategic and financial presentations for management meetings and business reviews
Financial projects including forecasting, revenue reconciliation, balance sheet reviews, among others
Work with the Planning and Analysis, Controllers, Strategy and central teams to support accurate business analytics, financials and forecasts
