Standard VettingStandardJob Purpose (overall high level summary of the role)The Data Governance team is based within the Group Data Management team established in March 2012, as part of an HSBC wide program to improve the management of data across the organisation.

This role works closely with the Data Governance Manager and Data management experts to ensure metadata contained within Collibra (Group Data Dictionary tool) is ‘fit for purpose’ to accommodate business and regulatory metadata requirements.

The role holder will be the Collibra Content Management and play a key role in designing and driving the definitions (and other metadata) content lifecycle management initiatives in support of Collibra rollout across the group.

Principal Accountabilities: key activities and decision making areas
Typical Targets and MeasuresOverall AccountabilitiesSupport GB/GFs in the completion of accurate definitions and other metadata for critical data elements (CDE’s) as defined by the DDD procedures and standards (i.

e.

naming conventions).

Design and implement ‘fit for purpose’ procedures for the management/quality assurance of metadata across its life cycle (creation to destruction) within Collibra
Obtain appropriate level of sign off for assets and standards design prior to implementation.

Work in conjunction with the metadata management team to document and maintain the Collibra metadata model and content management processes
Develop and appropriate metadata loading and QA procedures catering for data entry via front end.

Support alignment and standardization of initiatives across the GB/GF community and domain structures in Collibra
Support the design and role out of automated operating model for data stewardship and governance.

Technical skills:
Prior expertise in a data management tool preferably Collibra or any equivalentNo of CDE’s and underlying attributes approved
No of users across GB/GF Trained
Clear and unambiguous definition of data policies and standards
Requirements for definitions and Dictionary are clearly und
